CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Actor/ author/ spokesperson/ auteur William Shatner is working on another space themed album, this one described in some reports as a heavy metal recording, and two famous Cincinnati musicians are involved.

Seventies superstar Peter Frampton reports on his Facebook pagethat he has been recording for the project at his home studio in Indian Hill.  "Working on a track for William Shatner's next CD in my studio.  Yep, our dear Captain asked me to wail on one for him.  Met him when doing the Fran Drescher TV show.  Lovely character!  Let's see if we can go where no guitar solo has gone before."

Cincinnati Playhouse Extends The Second City does Cincinnati: Pride and Porkopolis

CINCINNATI, OH (Fox19)– Due to popular demand, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park has extended its run of THE SECOND CITY DOES CINCINNATI: PRIDE AND PORKOPOLIS until Sunday, January 9.

 Famous for their side-splitting sketch comedy and equally famous alumni, the world’s premier comedy company, has created an original no-holds-barred revue about all things Cincinnati. Following the two-act revue about Cincinnati, the Tuesday through Friday shows will include a special segment of improvisation that includes a mix of games and scenes based completely on suggestions from the audience.

Prices for THE SECOND CITY DOES CINCINNATI: PRIDE AND PORKOPOLIS range from $30-$67, depending on day and seat location.

Ballet Theatre Midwest moves to (another) historic CT building

COLUMBIA TUSCULUM (FOX19)- Ballet Theatre Midwest is moving from one historic Columbia Tusculum building to another.  As of September, BTM now located in the old Carnegie library on Eastern Ave., will move a block away to Spencer Township Hall, 3833 Eastern Ave.  

Spencer Hall, built in 1858, was the original township hall for Columbia Tusculum (then called Spencer Township) before we were annexed to the City of Cincinnati. This tall red brick building has been closed for a number of years.

A Midsummer's Night Dream at Alms Park

COLUMBIA-TUSCULUM (FOX19)- Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is parterning with the Cincinnati Parks Department to provide performances in City parks this summer.

Join your neighbors in a free performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream at Alms Park on Wednesday at 7 pm.

Director Sara Clark has created a streamlined production of A Midsummer Night's Dream that clocks in at under two hours running time, while maintaining Shakespeare's original text.
